The Red King Crab - Threat or Treasure in the Barents Sea
Kuningasrapu- Uhka vai Rikkaus Barentsinmeressä
In the 1930s, the Russians introduced the Kamchatka crab, native to the North Pacific Ocean, to the Barents Sea. The experiment turned out to have a huge and unpredicted environmental impact. The film shows both the damage and the benefits to the ecology of the sea and to the coastal population both in Norway and Russia.
