Me and My Little Sister
Sparrooabbán
A personal film about sisterhood, homosexuality and the search for acceptance. Filmmaker Suvi and her baby sister Kaisa are indigenous Sámis from northern Finland. In their home village of Utsjoki, religious prejudices and conservative values impact the lives of gay people daily. Suvi feels powerless to help her sister. This is especially important now, as Kaisa is a lesbian who has decided to have a baby.
